Form Good Skin Habits

Research shows that it takes 21 days for a habit to stick. It has also been seen that taking small steps towards big changes are likelier to stick. If your new year resolution for 2018 was to take better care of your health and body you aren't alone. But how well did you fare in the first two months. Do not fret if you didn't really turn a new leaf as you had hoped.

Here are a few daily self-care habits that are great not just for our skin/hair but also for mental wellness & total health. Try to incorporate these in your daily plain as the first step to great health and skin. Remember self care if self love. 

1. Take the time to layer a few basic products every morning: antioxidant serum repairs skin & sunscreen protects skin from environmental accelerators of skin aging. Furthermore, establishing a consistent daily routine is key to setting the tone for a peaceful productive day.

Use a skin appropriate combination physical & chemical sunscreen of SPF 30 or more. Select a tinted one and reapply 3 hourly every morning without fail.

2. Take the time to cleanse skin properly before bedtime. Use a cleansing balm or micellar water to remove the layers of pollution, sebum & make up. Then wash your face with a cleanser and apply night cream/serum. This short easy routine will work not only for keeping skin healthy and youthful but also set the tone for winding down for 'sleep hygiene'
